What's your favourite crochet square joining method?

Hello

I have made 80 sunburst crochet squares but having never done a square blanket before I am stuck on how to join them.

I have watched a few different videos but I am still a bit lost. I need a technique for a beginner and I also need to know do I join them in lines and then join the lines together?

Thankyou

My favourite join is to use DC (UK) all the way along so that you get a bold seam on the right side.

I use stitch markers to hold squares in place and then do whole rows together, followed by the columns. However I recently tried doing it with the JAYG order and that worked well - so like a zig zag to join one row then back along the bottom.

Same. This is a blanket I made years ago using up loads of odds and ends so every square and the joins between them are random colours.

I put squares back to back and DC through the gaps between trebles.

Well done on getting all of the squares made.

I do a double crochet into the edges - I use one loop if it’s stretchy or both loops if I want it to be more sturdy. This is a sofa throw I made.

Thankyou all, some wonderful photos 💗

I am off to google DC join. I just need to be brave and do it!
