Advice for crocheted blanket please

Hi All,
I'm crocheting squares for a blanket - plan is to intersperse these squares with a paler colour to take the edge off a bit. (Photo below, first time so please be kind!)
Any ideas which colour would work for these plain squares? Thanks.

The pale shade from the centre would look nice and fresh.

Your original square is lovely!

Agree with both of Wanda’s posts. I keep meaning to start crocheting - I’ve got a hook and yarn, just need to find a good beginner tutorial for dummies!

Try Bella Coco on YouTube that's how I learned to crochet.

I agree with the suggestion of the pale colour from the centre, it will tie it all together. I'd also block the squares before you join them - the edges will even up and will give you a nice finish. Lovely pattern and colour choices!

The square you have done is gorgeous. Where is that pattern from?

Or the 2nd colour maybe if you think the really pale will be too bright.....
I would probably quickly make a fast couple of squares in each colour and see what they look like together.. equally is it to go in a specific room? Are there other colours around?

Cream would look great, navy would look sensational Stunning work 🧶

Lovely square, any of your colours would look great, each giving a different feel to the piece. But what about green? For a flower garden affect.

The orange thread would work really well I think. I love the pattern - beautiful work!
