I have been let down so have to ask again: would anyone be able to make me a tabard?

Posted a couple of weeks ago and thought I was sorted, but the people I ordered from seem to have disappeared from the face of the planet - not answering my emails, and certainly not sending me my tabard!

As I said in my last thread, I wear one for work but the biggest size they supply isn't big enough. I have stitched Velcro onto the tabs so that it does up, but it looks and feels way too small.

I am rather large, so don't fit standard sizes. I have looked online, and the largest one I can find is too small - it is unisex, and doesn't allow for norkage.

Please, would anyone be able to make one (or two) for me, if I sent measurements and money?

Me and sewing really don't go together, but bumping for you.

WigWamBam · 10/05/2008 14:33

No, me and sewing aren't best buddies either

No I don't sew either, to my shame.

Have you tried tailors in the yellow pages.
We have some good ones here in Brighton with very reasonable prices.

My mum told me when she gave birth to us all the new mums were in hospital nattering and sewing name tags into clothing. How things have changed.

You're right there, Spidermama - my mother made all her own clothes, whereas I can just about put a button on.

I haven't tried a local tailor, I was assuming they would cost an arm and a leg. Not sure where there are any near me, either.

CAT me and I'll see what I can do. I'm bogged down with work and making teddy bears though so it might take me a week or two.

WigWamBam · 10/05/2008 15:24

Oh, are you sure? It would be really sweet of you but I don't want to bog you down even more if you're up to your eyes!

It should only take a few hours depending on what you want. I can do that for you as long as you are willing to wait a week or so.

WigWamBam · 10/05/2008 15:39

Oh, thank you - that would be fabulous. Waiting a couple of weeks is no problem at all.

I'll cat you now.
