Making a rocket

DS (7) has a school project on transport and he wants to make a rocket.

I have some plastic water bottles but could do with a bit of inspiration.

verything I've googled which involves plastic water bottles involves some sort of launcher with bicycle pumps. I'd be happy with a reasonably easy to make static model.

2 loo rolls stuck either cside of bottom of bottle, then a cone at the top. Paointed white with NASA written on the side?

DS1 made one at school today! It consists of a 2 litre soft drink bottle wrapped in foil with for pieces of egg box for 'feet' and 'wings' cut from a cereal box. It has orange and red tissue paper streamers at the bottom for flames. Looks great!

roll some card into a cylinder then make a cone for the top. add lots of red/orange/yellow crepe paper at the bottom for fire effect.

Intead of NASA could he paint his name and age down the length of the rocket?

Three loo rolls (boosters) might make it more stable.

White spray paint is easy to use, do it outside and wear a mask.

I wanna make one now !

Black masking tape good for stripes too.

I never make anythign so was quite pleased with my idea though. Might try with DD.
