After many weeks of trying to slot a bit of time in here and there.....DDs Giraffe is at long last finished.
This was a homework project for year 1, where they needed to make an animal over a metre tall, suitable to "live" out in the playground!
DD has Down Syndrome and this was a challenge for all of us. BUT she loved making the basic shape using boxes and tape, she even used the wire cutters (with DH) to cut and shape the chicken wire. LOL...paper mache, well that was a no go- she hated the texture but she did help with ripping the paper. She helped paint it yellow....but muggins got left alone to paint the spots!!!!
