Knitting question - I'm stuck!!!

hello! i?m just trying to work out how i carry on doing a double moss st when i?m increasing on every 4th row. the thing that confuses me is that the increase is on a knit stitch so instead of P K P K P K i?ve now got P K K P K P K.

so do i purl the purls and knit the knits even though that means i?l have 2 of the same stitch beside each other until the next increase?

does this make any sense??

It does make sense but I'm not sure of the answer.

I think I would do what you suggest, otherwise you could end up messing up the stitch across the rest of the row. I am assuming that the increases are at the edge so you wouldn't really notice the double stitch.

You can just carry on the double moss stitch. K1P1 along the row and work them back the way they present, so if it looks like purl you purl, if it looks like knit you knit. On the next row, if you have started with a knit stitchand you make two out of one, then you knit the first stitch, purl the next and knit the next one. You will see what you are doing quick enough, keep the pattern correct. Hope it makes sense

i did work it out in the end, i had to have a double of the stitch until the next increase but it looks fine. thanks!
