ok - i'm gonna do it but just wondered if there's anything i should know before i start?
i've just set up a payPal account but only did a personal account should i have got a business one? or do you just get paid onto your creditcard?

also p&P charges how do i work that out? at the moment i don't charge P&P but if i get international buyers i need to charge but it would look unfair if i charged some people and not others.

sorry for big woffle!

i think you have to have the higher level paypal account for etsy, can't remember what it's called, but one that enables money to be paid in by others, most etsy sales are paid through paypal, your etsy fee's are paid via a credit card.

just remember to take into account when pricing items,

etsy fee's
paypal fee's
exchange rate as it's all in $

for p&p, search for other sellers/items which are similar and see what they are charging, needs to be realistic and cover any wrapping, labels, jiffy bags etc

For the Paypal you would be better with a Premier account, not a business one - the business one requires a business bank account (not made clear on the site and caused me loads of hassle cos I signed up to it without one!)

premier account, that's the one, thanks nmm!

Don't worry about two levels of charges for postage. I live in China and buy a lot from esty, and I fully expect to pay higher postage.

I don't like it when people take the piss, though, and try to charge $20 to post a pair of earrings from the US to China. Reasonable charges are fine but anything else and I move straight on.

i've still not opened it - i need to take photo's and work out postage and what to charge - i'm rubbish at making decisions and the QUEEN of faffing about!
