Knitting Colour-work throw

I am thinking of making a throw with 2 - 3 colours in tumbling blocks. the only patterns I can find are made of squares that are seamed.
I want to knit as one piece but was wondering how the back will look ? I’ve never made a blanket before but knit fair isle in a cushion, mitts etc and the wrong side is hidden.

Have you heard of Ravelry? It is a free website all about knitting and you can look at thousands of patterns of blankets in the style you desire and see knitted examples of projects made in them.

It is a fabulous resource for all knitters .

I found this tumbling blocks texture repeating pattern - only one colour but the front & back match.

Otherwise TB needs at least 3 colours. I made the Kaffe Fassett TB jumper many years ago & on any row each diamond was from a separate ball of yarn, with lots of tweedy autumnal colours.

This Tumbling Moss Block Stitch Knitting Pattern creates an illusion with 3 various textured patterns with a 20-Row Repeat of knits and purls.
