Recommendations for painting ceramics

Hi all,

DS wants to decorate mugs to give to family members for Christmas so I'm looking for recommendations for pens or paints that are safe to use and can be baked on to make them wash and heat proof.

I've tried looking at blogs and on Amazon but I'm having trouble finding a clear recommendation so I thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone else has done this and if so, what products did you use?

Thanks in advance

I haven't done it for many years but Pebeo used to have ceramic paints that you cured in an oven. As far as I remember they were okay for decoration but not to be used on the bits you would eat or drink from.

Hobbycraft is always worth checking out if you have one near you.
