I would pay someone to knit a dalek for Ds, he would be thrilled.

Miaou · 23/04/2008 12:58

nomoremagnolia · 23/04/2008 20:09

The dalek is already in my Ravelry queue, just need some shorter circs to knit in the round DH has requested a gold dalek!

Miaou · 23/04/2008 21:03

NMM, are you on the MN ravelry group? People have different names on there and I get confused

Shorter circs - isn't there a way to do it - magic loop I think it's called?

Fillyjonk · 23/04/2008 21:23

nomoremagnolia · 23/04/2008 21:42

nomoremagnolia · 23/04/2008 21:48

Thank miaow - have just looked up magic loop knitting on knittinghelp.com (my favourite website at the moment!)

Miaou · 23/04/2008 21:56

Aha! hello on there then

Knittinghelp is great isn't it?

DaisySteiner · 24/04/2008 11:33

I've been knitting adiposes for the past 2 1/2 weeks (in horrrrrible acrylic, yuck!) Better get some blue yarn I guess, they'll be in demand once the dcs see these!

GreatAuntieWurly · 24/04/2008 13:12

anyone have a pattern for an adipose??

OP posts:
DaisySteiner · 24/04/2008 15:33

There are some crochet patterns for an adipose on ravelry, but the knitting one has been removed because the BBC have got stroppy apparently

Fubsy · 26/04/2008 21:43

The knitting pattern was removed because someone took it from Ravelry and tried to sell it on Ebay, When Ravellers protested, the Ebayer dobbed the writer of the pattern in to the Beeb, who then asked for it to be removed as it was taking revenue away from the BBC.

bettythebuilder · 26/04/2008 21:50

my goodness, such scullduggery! Talk about knitting needles at 20 paces

Fubsy · 01/05/2008 22:18

Update: now all the good doctor who relateds knitting patterns, including extermiknit, have been removed.

All because of someones greed and laziness.
