Converting patterns int the round to 2 needle patterns

Can this be done? I would far rather knit with two needles. Can such patterns be turned into ones with seams?

I've seen it done with a hat like this but I imagine for a larger garment you would need to add a stitch (at either end, maybe) to allow for seaming and not include these stitches in the shaping instructions. You'd need to keep concentrating 😂

Depends on what it is. A cowl? Easy. A sweater, you can get into hot water. Personally I'd find a pattern that's not in the round.
