can I cut a lambskin fleece?

hello I am not really sure where to post this but I have bought a lovely lambskin and need to make a small cut for it to fit securely into buggy. Can I do this without it unravelling coming apart?

I sliced mine and it is fine.

if it's a natural fleece there should be no problem - if you're worried about it tearing where you've cut it you could put in a few stitches at the ends of the cut.
