Hi there,

Does anyone have this pattern book and would scan me a pattern? It's out of print and I would like to make the flower brooches in it for a fundraising advent calendar. I was given one as a present about 20 years ago and love it, but the person who knitted it is long departed😔.
I'd be so grateful!

Ahh thank you for your detective work! I had actually found the book on ebay but I'm abroad so don't really want to pay postage / import tax for one little pattern! However I hadn't spotted the other photos showing most of the pattern. Will try to decipher the blurry one and give it a go.
Cheers!

@treaclesone I have the book if you want a clear version of the pattern. Do you want to PM me an email address and I can send photos?

treaclesone · 31/05/2024 18:10

Do you know about ravelry? Pattern site, prob has greenhowe, if not 100,001 others. Lots of free ones.

reallyalurker · 31/05/2024 18:38

The flower brooch pattern is listed on Ravelry, as are 19 other patterns from the same book, but the text of the pattern isn't there. So it's only useful if you want to see what others have made using that pattern, or ask for help with it.

Flower Brooches pattern by Jean Greenhowe

Use the same basic pattern to creae four atractive flower brooches -- a daisy, buttercup, pansy or nasturium.

Yet again the power of mumsnet helps me with my knitting😍. Thanks to @TheBucktoothedGirlFromLuxembourg .
Happy knitting @Bankholidayhelp 😉
I had found the pictures on Ravelry @haveatye but alas no text.
Thank you all for your efforts!
