Best prices for card blanks?

One of my many New Year's resolutions is not to buy cards any more. I'm appalled at the prices charged these days.

I've been looking through various websites but wonder if anyone has a hot tip where the cheapest card blanks can be bought in bulk?

Also, does anyone make their own blanks, how easy is it, and where do you obtain the card from?

TIA

Could you not buy some good quality card and start from there?

I would need other equipment, surely? Cutting mat and measuring tools and scoring tools?

Try going to London Graphics Centre. I'm not sure if they have a site if you are not in London. They have at least 2 branches though in Covent Garden (a big one) and one in Putney.

Hi!!
craft creations is a good place for prices
If find cards that come with envelopes good value here's some.
art discount 100 cards and envelopes for £16.99

I got some from Argos, if you have the argos extra catalogue it is in there. white and cream cards and envelopes in 3 diff sizes. You can order extra products to come to your local store even if its not an extra store.

www.madaboutcards.co.uk (or .com). The cards are very good quality and you get discounts by buying in bulk, even if you mix and match the colours.

I buy some blanks but now tend to fold my own, it works out so much cheaper.
I am lucky enogh to have a Paper Mill Shop nearby where you can fill up a box of paper/card from a range of colours. They don't have as much choice as Craft Creations (where I buy my blanks from) all pretty much basic colours.
I have also invested in a folding/creasing thingy(!!!) called something like Accu-crease, paid about £18 for it but it makes folding your own cards so much more proffessional and is much quicker.
It is a very rewarding hobby, and you can send personalised cards at a fraction of the cost of a bog-standard shop card!
Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I haven't been around as I have computer trouble, just sneaking in for five minutes now but plagued with pop-ups - hopefully have it sorted in a few days and be back properly! My house has never looked so clean!

I have just bought a payperbox costing £5.99 from Clintons Cards.
Has anyone else bought one of these, you get a plastic folder and fill it up with whatever you want, I chose mostly card, and have counted about 100 sheets which makes very cheap card blanks, only have to find some nice envelopes now.
