something more fancypants than blanet stitch

.. to edge my baby blanket, anyone?

I'm sure I've seen somehting a little cross-stitch-like before but can't find it in books or on web.

There's herringbone stitch but that wouldn't wrap round the edge of the fleece like blanket stitch - it would just be decorative

Thanks dizzy, I thought about doing herringbone away from the edge a little, just to cover the cut-edge. But not sure whether that would look odd. I'm sure I've seen a variation on blanket stitch somewhere.. gah.

I googled and found a lovely variation which is group of 3 blanket stitches fanned out - very pretty
