I have been drawing and painting for years and had lots of people tell me I should try selling my artwork. I have biten the bullet and got a stall at a festival in June to have a go. Very scary.
Up until now I have painted what I liked or pictures for family presents. I've done electric guitars, a graphic nike trainer picture for my teenage niece, superman for my son amongst others.
Now I need to have quite a large collection of paintings to sell, but am unsure of what kind of pictures will sell best. I'm hoping to give out cards on the day to advertise the fact that I'd like to do personalised paintings, ie, whatever you want a painting of I'll do it, but still need pictures to sell on the day. What would you like to buy a handpainted picture on canvas of? Is there anything you'd love but have never seen around? Help very very gratefully recieved.

my fried used to do paintings for people - she would do portraits from photos - you could try that.

Otherwise, have a look at prints that are sold in IKEA or next as that will be a good indicator of what kind of thing people like to hang in thier bedroom.

Good luck.
