Running out of (discontinued) wool! Help please!

I am just coming to the end of knitting a cardigan in James C Brett chunky with merino, in burgundy (CM17). Despite following the pattern closely, I’m pretty sure that I won’t quite have enough wool to finish. I think I may need another quarter of a ball. However this colour is discontinued and I don’t think I can get hold of any more. Does anyone know where people can find odds and ends of wool (particularly discontinued ones) because I’m sure there must be people who have some left over which they would be prepared to sell on? Hoping someone might be able to help here. Thanks.

Check out eBay and Etsy, I’ve found discounted yarns on there before. On FB there is a yarn destash group, it’s predominantly US based but I do see some UK based people pop up in it. You can also try asking in FB groups, just make it clear you’re looking for UK ideally for shipping purposes.

Thanks for those suggestions. I will try them. I signed up to a Facebook knitting group, and tried to ask this question there, but the admins deleted my post!
