... or specifically their drawings!!

I have a new idea whizzing around my head (cos there's nothing else there to stop it!!) and I need some simple line drawings with lots of colour.

DD is not much help as we're still mostly at the scribbling stage!!

BUT I need them scanned and emailed to me (as I need to print hem off) so also can't be bigger than A4 size.

If anyone could help that would be ace and the incentive is you'll get back what I'm making for your feedback too

i'll have a look later and see if i can photo some of dd's drawings, we've got tons!

chrissnow · 28/03/2008 12:48

yeah we've got loads, but no scanner. MIL has a scanner. May be able to get over there over the weekend? Is that too late for you?

snottyshoulders · 28/03/2008 12:53

I've got one of Santa on a sledge (although one wouldn't immediately recognise it as such ) by my then three year old, not exactly colourful but it's already scanned and on my computer! Any good?

Miaou · 28/03/2008 13:03

What about photos of them - would that be any good? Dd does lots of beautiful drawings (she is 10 though, is that too old?). Scanner not working so can't scan them in.

dizzyday07 · 28/03/2008 13:13

I never thought about you emailing pics of them - that would be fine.

Any examples you have would be great - a mix of ages is fab.

My email addy is: [email protected]

And let me know if it's OK to photo the finished results for examples

Dizzy, there's one on my blog that dd1 did - would that be the sort of thing you are after? She is busy drawing dinosaurs atm too - can photo them if you like. here for drawing (scroll down)

Miaou · 28/03/2008 13:36

Ooh dd2 has just brought me a stack of drawings that were inspired by listening to Capercaille - will photograph them too and you can take a look!

ROSEgarden · 28/03/2008 13:42

my dd is 4 she likes drrawing people(stick people) is that the kind of thing you're after?

dizzyday07 · 28/03/2008 13:49

The idea (and no-one steal it!!) is to print the drawing onto fabric and then for me to sew over/along the lines. The fabric will be quilted too so that there is some depth to it. These will then be made into wall-hangings or the front for cushions.

Thought it was a way of immortilising (sp) their drawings and that could be a gift.

So really, the simpler the drawing the better

Ah, then I think the ones I have sent you will be too complicated then. Email on its way to you though!

have often thought of doing similar - in fact, I think I saw something like this (but just simple printing) hold on, I'll find a link...

Miaou · 28/03/2008 14:03

Grr, can't find it. Anyhoo, it was for prints, not sewn, so not the same, just thought you might like to see!

dizzyday07 · 28/03/2008 14:11

Snotty - Santa is great
Miaou - I think I'll start with the fairy one

meridian · 28/03/2008 15:22

i would help but all DS does are scrbbles that he says are machines...

SoupDragon · 28/03/2008 15:54

DS1 drew a fabulous dragon years ago. It's been on my fridge ever since...

SoupDragon · 28/03/2008 16:07

Dragon

dizzyday07 · 28/03/2008 16:23

Oh how cool is that dragon??

SoupDragon · 28/03/2008 16:55

Course it's OK. I think it's his eyes that make it for me! I've always meant to scan him and print him out on Tshirt transfer paper. I think DS (9) is too old to want him on a Tshirt now though!

To be precise, that's why big American fridges were invented, 'Frau

meridian · 28/03/2008 19:09

very cool dragon... he would look great embrodiered (sp?) on a cushion or something...

Gingermonkey · 28/03/2008 22:49

dizzy dizzy dizzy I want something made from DD's drawings, can I can I can I????!!! (oops, getting over excited and more than a little giddy )

dizzyday07 · 28/03/2008 22:53

GM - as it's you - no!!

Only joking - yes of course - I can't guarantee what they'll look OK once I've got sewing though!!

Gingermonkey · 28/03/2008 23:35

I can tell you now, it'll be better than if I tried to do it!!! lol!
I'll email some pics tomorrow

Tillyboo · 29/03/2008 20:29

DD has been water colour painting today so when I get back home I'll scan them for you.

She's 4 on Wednesday so not as brilliant as Soupdragons dragon which is FAB !
But, she has done some lovely coloured smiley faces.
