Needle felting inspiration

I have 4 weeks left of a needle felting introduction course. So far we've made a gnome and next week we're supposed to come with an idea of project to start.

I don't really want anything else which sits on a shelf, and when I Google it everything seems to be little ornaments. Might do a small Christmas decoration but wouldn't want that to be the main thing I focus on for the next month.

Anyone have any inspiration for me? What sorts of things have you made?

Thank you!

My DD likes doing needle felling, her current thing is essentially painting or drawing with it.

Like the pic attached of a craft kit you can buy. She blends the colours and ends up with these cool textured pictures

Hi, I teach needle felting and I agree that most are sculptural pieces that sit on a shelf - but you really can do a lot more with it!
You can create 3D flowers, broach pins and hanging decorations. You can also work into fabric and create art like painting or decorate a fabric bag or Jacket. You may also want to explore wet felting, though maybe not during this course. Wet felting creates a shaped base, whether for a flower, scarf or bowl, which can then be decorated with your needle felting. So much to explore!
