Got a huge dolls house off freecycle today, have full intentions of doing it up, and restoring it, does anyone know anything about dolls houses? if so could you tell me roughly the age or what kind of style to decorate would be best?

Pics in profile

Thanks in advance

Fab dolls house pucca, and did giggle at your LO crawling around on the ground floor. I think there are various websites and mags about doing up dolls houses, try Ebay?

Psychomum5 · 24/03/2008 23:47

I know its so cool i am like a little girl again, so excited!

Bless ds, he wanted to crawl in it, and its that big he could pretty much fit in the bottom.

I am even more excited as i cannot find anything like it on google or ebay, so it is quite unusual, and has the most fantastic staircase in it, i will add a pic now so you can see.

i think you should decide what yopu want each room to be. and work from the top down.

i might have some wallpapers here somewhere, will have a look in the morning.

SparklyGothKat · 24/03/2008 23:58

have a look for 'doll house fairs' They are great for picking up bits.

ShinyDysonHereICome · 24/03/2008 23:59

Oh wow that staircase is incredible.

What a find!

SparklyGothKat · 24/03/2008 23:59

I have loads of furniture, but I can't give it away, if you are after anything, I can sell them to you.

Must admit i couldn't believe the staircase myself, it does have some internal doors missing but the lady i got it off gave me a bag which they are all in there, including the original front door and a roll of wallpaper.

She said it had been passed down 2 generations in her friends family, and she had intended to restore but never got around to it...how sad.
