How long does it take for an oil painting to dry??

I used a very small amount of white spirit but its on relatively thick

Any ideas ? - it's been years since I painted so I've totally forgot

if it's on fairly thick it will take quite some time to dry - cant remeber how long exactly but you shouldn't varnish it for 6 months i'm pretty sure i've remembered that bit right!

a week maybe til its touch dry.
