I hope that link works, it’s not necessarily that exact one I want to paint but that kind of material.

Is it possible to paint do you think, and if so what kind of paint would you use? I was also wondering if I went over the paint with something like modpodge whether it would stop it coming off.

Yes, spray paint will work best.

I painted a laundry basket like this 19 years ago with standard Matt emulsion paint and it's still going strong now and gets daily use

It does look fine as it is but it’s for my dd who I think would like colour.
