Is Vellum tape ness or can I use ordinary double sided?

Just invested in some vellum but the tape was expensive so I didn't buy it and now I'm wondering if that was an error.

Does anyone have an opinion?

I don't very often used vellum and when I have done I have never used a special tape. I tend to work around the design and overlay with another embbellishment and stick underneath that so it doesn't show. You can use brads or eyelets....I cheat basically!
