Help me find some joy!

In the lead up to Christmas I found SO much joy trying out Christmas crafts I'd seen online and doing crafty bits with my children. I absolutely loved it. I made presents, decorations, cards. Now Christmas has been and gone I feel flat and am missing my Christmas crafting. I tried an oil painting class at the weekend but I'm not sure it's for me. Any ideas I could try to bring some of that joy back? Any comments will be gratefully received

Valentine's Day soon and then Easter . . . Smile if you love crafting for holidays and events carry on the joy through the year!

Lots of options for new year things - do you have family planners/calendar/meal planner that you could make look beautiful? Upcyclong a new piece of furniture?
Something inspired by spring flowers - snowdrops, daffodils, hyacinths, croci?

Crochet? Lucy at Attic24 has various small to large projects and an interesting blog to follow:

Felting could be another option - I made some robins with a kit which turned out quite well.

Would you think about Woolly Hugs? This is a charity which began on MN many years ago now. In addition to knitting and crochet they do craft sales a few times a year and some of their ongoing projects can include blankets made out of fabric rather than yarn.

Could you afford to invest in a Cricut machine? I have a Cricut Joy and wouldn't be without it, I make all kinds of personalised gifts such as mugs, wine glasses, baubles (not just for xmas!) etc. It's an expensive hobby but I love sitting in the kitchen making things with my music on, so relaxing.

Have a look in 'The Works' for ideas and inexpensive ways to experiment with many crafts.

Why not focus on bits for Easter like you did for Easter?

I've done a few of these wooden jigsaws and have really enjoyed them. I've glued them together so I can frame them as they are so pretty. The actual jigsaw pieces are interesting shapes and some are animal shaped which adds interest when you bard doing it.

I have bought a square based lantern. Not vintage but not new.
I’m going to clean and maybe paint it and then make a sitting room/ library scene with fairy lights inside it. Have been looking at how to make miniature sofas and tables!
