Giant bubbles; A recipe anyone?

Just seen some fantastic giant bubbles being blown on YouTube. The recipe is given but includes stuff like the American 'Dawn' detergent and some suspect looking lubricants! Anyone out there made some successful formula in the UK please?

Hi, we made some with concentrated washing-up liquid and a bottle of Glycerin from the chemist (£2.65), took a while to get the right consistency,we used too much water at first b'coz we followed a recipe.
We mixed it in a round tray and used an old kids fishing net as the wand...worked really well and the mixture lasted for a couple of weeks.
