decorated eggs ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh can you help?

ds2 always takes part, goes to loads of effort but has never won

i think it's always the religious ideas that come up trumps, so, in jest i suggested we do 'the eggifixtion' and sort of pin an egg to a lollipop cross

but, seriously has anyone got any ideas?

i need help, neither of us are good at creative stuff and we have to make it tonight!

dd made a dog.

She never wins cos she's bloody brilliant at it and they always think there's been "parental involvement" (strictly frowned upon).
Oh yes, my girl's a genius egg decorator.

Does it have to "be" something?

Can't you just let loose with paints, glue and sparkly bits?

She was going to do a balloon.

Blow out the egg, paint it, stuff pipe cleaner into blow-hole and stick end of pipe cleaner into blob of blu-tack.

Last year, my ds painted an egg, stuck on a triangle shape for a beak, drew on eyes and stuck feathers (from a craft pack) on the back - ta da a bird! It took no time and he won 1st prize, bizarrely.
(not mentioning the 2 hours I spent trying to blow out an egg, 4 broken eggs later - I hard boiled one!)

we just did dalmation with dd. We covered the egg in tip ex then dd drew on spots. Stuck on googly eyes , felt ears and nose. Then we put it in egg cup covered that with tip ex and she drew paws on it and put spots on that. Then some ribbon stuck round the top of egg cup for collar and a tail stuck on back from a black feather.
It looked good and she was very proud of it. Winner to be announced on Wednesday.

the dalmation idea just made me think of crufts! thats the one i reckon!

ds2 can make some doggy eggs and we can present in obligatory shoe box with some crufts style scenery. brill!!
