Please help me with bracelet elastic, my child has got clay beads and made some lovely bracelets with the crystal tec 0.8 supplied which is slightly elastic. but we just can't knot it, you can't pull it tight, the knot moves down the string iyswim? and makes the bracelet very small if we even manage to tie it, DC is on the point of giving up. coated elastic thread isn't helpful as it coating unravels so you can't put the bead on. I'm thinking non coated elastic? please help I'm so frustrated myself now. thanks

They sell all sorts of that type of stuff in Hobbycraft.

I would look at some tutorials on Facebook or join one of the many groups.

I’ve just asked DD, she recommends stretching the elastic cord before you start to make your bracelet. It makes tying it easier (and I’ve just recalled I made some napkin rings with it last Christmas, stretching the clear cord before adding the beads was the way to go)!

I hope that helps!

thanks everyone I tried to remake a broken one, I pre stretched the crystal tec I had then managed to tie a really good knot both ways never thought of that before that video so I'll test it by wearing it to save heartache
