Crocheting Presents

My DSD21 mentioned she would like to have go at crocheting. I remember enjoying doing it with my Nana.
What do I buy to get her/us started? The kits online seem expensive and too time consuming for what might be a fad.

Have a look at both the Attic24 website and then Attic24 on the wool warehouse site. They sell pre-made up kits for Attic24 and her designs are quite simple. She offers good tutorials - the patterns are on her website to download and print - all you’d need extra would be a hook and her patterns tell you what size of that to order. Something like this bag and cushion set would be an easy first project - https://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/attic24/attic24-special-chunky-rainbow-pack-8-balls-8-buttons

thats assuming you mean standard crochet and not amigurumi (animals and toys?).

for simple tutorials and basic instructions I’d also look at Bella coco on YouTube
