My Dad has a dutch barge
He is having the flag remade - it is 57 inches long

The flag people can copy the flag but they cannot source the fringing

Can the power of MN find 10 feet of fringing which is 2 inches of each red, blue & white repeating?

TIA (I don't believe you can do it)

what does the fringing need to be made of?

KatyMac · 14/03/2008 22:26

Don't know

It will be outside in fairly good weather only

Cotton? Polycotton? Nylon?

these people make flags so may be able to help

KatyMac · 14/03/2008 23:34

Thanks - we have the flag but it is the fringing isn't normally on flags that is the problem

this is PVC so don't know if it would be appropriaite

KatyMac · 14/03/2008 23:39

That is on the right lines but it is 12 inches deep - he needs about 1 inch deep

I guess we could buy it & give it a hair cut....maybe?

So far the best suggestion is to buy 4 ft of each colur, cut it into 2 inch lengths and sew it together

I don't think this will work (primarily because I will be expected to do it - but also because it might fray?)

Anyone?

The flag has arrived (very lovely & horrifyingly expensive)

Can anyone find cloth fringing?

Bump

Can anyone make it even?

Could I buy white fringing & dye it or colour it in?

If you contacted this lot, they might be able to dye some for you - probably hideously expensive though.
This one also does bespoke stuff.

KatyMac · 31/03/2008 22:27

OK so - realistically - I guess it's white fringing with fabric pens
