Ideas for a child

I'm looking for inspiration for a child. She's 11 and has a basic sewing machine, which she can use on her own competently.

I'd like to buy her a some sort of manageable but a bit challenging sewing kit for Christmas.

Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

What sort of sewing does your daughter like to do? Is she making clothes for dolls, flag bunting, reading cushion…?

When you say ‘kit’ do you mean like a specific project with everything supplied and cut out?

If you can provide a bit more information, I might be able to suggest something handy.

We made some cushions and then we made a window seat cover and then a skirt with an elasticated waist.
She's not into dolls at all but loves crafty "things".
It probably doesn't need to be a kit per se, as long as I could give her all the "bits" together.

Debbie Shore sewing books She also has lots of great YouTube videos.

A few fat quarters in various colours plus thread that she could use to make something with?

other ideas…
pin cushion
apron
tote bag (you can use cotton or linen printed tea towels to make fun shopping bags)
