I am creating some wooden peg people for a preschool to support their diverse and inclusive toy selection. I want to make sure the wood paints or stains I use are safe for young children (I.e., food grade as may be put in mouths) and durable (likely to be thrown around and want them to last years). I would appreciate any suggestions for what to use. Thanks.
