Postcard Exchange

Hello

I was wondering do any of you still exchange postcards via snail mail? Postcards when you go away on a trip or things you create by yourself?

Or hand-written letters?

I was wondering if there were any websites or tips how to do it or make new snail-mail buddies?

(I posted this under Arts and Crafts, unsure if it's the right place, feel free to tell me if it should be elsewhere?)

Xxx

There's a website called Postcrossing. You send a postcard to person A and you get a postcard from person X so it's not a swap as such. I used to do it and it's fun seeing where postcards arrive from. Some people decorate their postcards with stickers etc and some just write a message.

@TenOhSeven Thanks for letting me know :)

Postcrossing seems like fun

I had an app called Slowly on my mobile (not endorsing it, I didn't end up using it) where you send longer messages to someone else but I do wish I could write my letters by hand to a potential suitor or a new girl friend

We send postcards from holiday to the grandparents, dog etc but use one of those apps where it prints your photo on the front. Photos are nice but you don't get the foreign stamps which I used to love as a child.

I have a collection of postcards which I started collecting since I was 12, I'm now 55. I buy them on holiday or when I go somewhere as the pictures on them are better than mine. People have also sent them to me and brought them back from their holidays. I have them from around the world but not everywhere. Postcrossing sounds interesting and fun.

I send cards with messages and postcards when on holiday. They're a novelty these days and people seem to enjoy receiving them. But I'm in my 70s ...
