Scandinavian art needlework - help!

TheaDecker · 13/08/2023 15:55

I have been bought a Scandinavian art needlework kit. The kit has a linen with 26 count white linen fabric - 22” x 15.5”

There are 260 stitches across and 160 height.

I haven’t used linen before. Are the stitches 2 holes width? 1 hole width seems tiny and would only use half the linen size.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Is it cross stitch? If so you work over 9 stitches in a square

Thanks for replying, yes it is cross stitch. But on linen, not an aria which I’ve done before. From googling it seems to say 2 holes across per stitch instead of 1 on an aria. The holes are so tiny and close together.

Look at the holes like this

•••
•••
•••

and go from top left to right bottom then right top to bottom left. You are working over a square of 9

Sorry I didn’t see the reply. Yes that is right, thank you! Xx
