Morning all,

A not so natural crochet-lover here! Carrying on my Grandma's skills.

I have come across this free download for a pattern I can do and have ready for Xmas. Changing the colours to white, red and green.

Am I right in thinking the "dc" should be treble crochet? I have probably forgotten what Grandma taught me but I thought "Granny" style was treble crochet?

Could someone confirm please 🙏
Greatly appreciated.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the case. It doesn't state that it's US terminology, but it certainly looks like trebles on the photo and they do state the hook size in US sizes first. Nice scarf!

@Fairislefandango thank you much for commenting. That confirms what I thought.

Caron/yarnspirations is a US company abd their patterns are all us terminology, so you are right UK trebles/us double

Thanks @softkitty79 I was pleased to retain some knowledge of my crochet lessons. I don't think ive made something new in over a year.

Another clue is chain 3 at the start of each row, that would be too tall for a UK DC.
