Knitted hat for an adult - anyone got a nice pattern?

I fancy knitting myself something not too difficult but had time to look for a pattern. Has anyone got anything in their armoury they fancy sharing?
I'm not that good at knitting.....

This is nice (at least, I liked Jeangenie's version in moss stitch): le slouch.
This will give you a basic beanie: spiral hat calculator.
I've got this one in my queue as well: star crossed beret

yarn harlot's hat (must get around to making it for dd1)

cables are easy easy easy. Don't be put off. That is a seriously fast hat to make.

I also like this center square BUT I modified it to a single thickness of yarn (VERY easy, used...4mm size wool, whatever thats called, and doubled the number of pattern repeats)

yes, he's amazing! but he is TOTALLY obsessed. not that i blame him - he gets great results.
