Help with my Wheat Bag

OK a couple of years ago MIL bought me a teddy with a wheat bag inside. I love it

BUT.... I have back pain and cannot use it inside the bear as the pointy bits (velcro/eyes/nose) hurt me .

I have tried wrapping the bag in a tea towel but it is too hot when I take it out of the microwave and I do have a burn from it now.

So what type of fabric would be the best thing to make a cover for it so I can stop burning myself/asking DH to check for random scratches on my back ?

Thank you oh wise ones

HH

Wrap it in a towel? Leave the teddy out of the equation?

IMHO wheat bags end up smelling like BO eventually, anyway .....

put it in the microwave for a shorter time (not trying to be funny but mine gets burny if I leave it in too long)

I make wheat bag covers out of linen so no thicker than tea towel really and so I think you just have to reduce time in mw

they are great for pain aren't they...
