....kids' project for school, they have to do one each. I hate all of this stuff, sticking & creating bah! (actually, on reflection that's probably not the best thing to say about an area that obviously interests everyone here, especailly since i'm seeking help/advice sorry girls!)
What shall i do about the project, girls are 4 & 6 so will need a lot of guidance/support.

square tissue box, four small yoghurt pots for boosters, one on the top for the pointy bit of the rocket. Bit of papier mache over the top, wait until it drys, silver paint, bob's yer uncle.

or a moon buggy - long tissue box, stick on four old aol cds (free from supermarkets!) for wheels. Small box on top for the cab. Again, papier mache, silver paint, job is done!

Even easier that papier mache - buy think rolls of masking tape from DIY shop. Cover with that then paint over. No mess.

thick rolls, not think rolls BTW!!!!

or a washing up liquid bottle is a good shape. with a couple of yoghurt pots stuck to the bottom.

OR (and this is the lazy-parenting way) give them a load of boxes and crap and tell them to invent a space vehicle out of it
