Circular needle set

Hello, long time lurker.
I want a circular needle set for my birthday, do you have any recommendations please, not fussed whether metal or bamboo, but I do like the sound of metal ( it was the sound of my childhood, so I find it comforting).

Medium priced up to £50ish
Thank you very much

I really like knitpro metal interchangeables and they have a few sets in your price range. I knit everything from cable to lace to chunky and I favour the more tapered lace needle tips, but that is really personal preference.

compares a few different brands here, though some of the prices are quite high.

Knitpro are lovely needles, I would recommend them and they are widely available for when you need just one more size. They come in metal, plastic or bamboo IIRC and you can mix and match.

Thank you for your answers, I'm still thinking about it, I'm not totally convinced I like knitting on round needles 😆

I think you need to try them out.

I bought metal hiya hiya but find them too sloppy so have slowly changed the tips to bamboo which I do like!

I also have some wooden ones a bit like knit pro symphonie which I love but they were pricey (dyak craft if you want to take a look)

Addi do good ones too - pricier than KnitPro but they have nice rounded ends (at least in the 4.5mm ones I like) and really flexible cables, which is important! Only ones I'd avoid are their brass ones, they stink to high heaven.

Some of my favourites, when the cable twisting isn't important (like knitting a jumper flat) are the Milward needles, but I don't know how available they are - I've only managed to get them on eBay, but that might be because I'm in Australia.
