Modern Calligraphy book recs needed!

I really enjoy hand lettering and have all sorts of pens/brush pens/paint and paper to practice with. But I’m struggling to find a really good, clear modern calligraphy book. I don’t really want a load of waffle about technique or examples of how you can use it - I want good-sized, clear alphabets to copy, preferably with lots of practice space. I have a couple of books but they don’t really have the typefaces I like - they’re too decorative or whimsical. I just want to practice bog-standard brush lettering really. A lot of books on Amazon have poor reviews as they have thin paper or look like cobbled-together stuff. I’d take decent printable resources even if I could find them!

Ooh there's an amazing calligrapher who lives near me and she has a book - her name is Imogen Owen, I'm sure if you search for her name the book will come up.
She runs workshops every so often too, I've been to one and it was excellent!

Thanks, I’ll look out for those! I’m very interested in any workbooks with decent paper quality too if anyone’s found one.

Have you had a look on YouTube and etsy? I found a youtuber a while ago and she had some free sheets and then paid for packs on Etsy. Sorry I can't remember her name.

Kirsten Burke books are good. She also runs courses, online and in person if you're interested in that as The Modern Calligraphy Company. She has a Modern Calligraphy Club online too, with a different theme and project each month. I belong to that and find it useful for giving me inspiration for different projects. Sometimes i need something new to kickstart my practising again!
