project for 24 x mini skeins (knitting, not socks!)

Bought this bag of mini skeins in the local charity shop for £8 this morning - bargain as it's lovely hand dyed stuff, 75% merino, 25% nylon, double knitting. Clearly an advent "mini skein" collection as there are 24. Each is 10g, or 42 metres.

What do I DO with it? Was thinking maybe a wrap or something, alternating the colours with grey? Any ideas?

How about a mitred square blanket? You could do one square and see how big it came out, if it's not very big alternate with a toning plain colour so you have 48 squares instead of 24.

How about hats? You could do several Fair Isle or mosaic pattern berets, beanies etc with those. Or gloves or mittens.
