Hello everyone,

My 3 year old LOVES arts and crafts which is great because I love do them with her :)

Do you have any tips for painting supplies that she can use to express herself creatively that will last a long time, not get too messed up and not cost the Earth?

Do you prefer bottles of paint or watercolour palettes or something else? How do you mix them etc?

Any advice from crafty parents welcome :)

get her an easel, the back of some cheap wall paper, an big apron and park her outside with some proper poster paints - can be givin a little squirt of each colour in an egg box. Have the bath run and ready before you start

We just used basic washable bottles of paint at that age, now it’s getting warmer so as much of it outside as possible! One big hit was getting a giant roll of paper, taping it down across the garden and making paint footprints across it (then straight in the bath after lol)
