Can anyone identify this fabric please?

It is being used to show a necklace. I emailed the person who is selling it to ask about it but they haven't replied. I think it might be a throw.

I just thought it was lovely and would like to get some if possible.

Any ideas?

Or ways for me to find out what it is?

I have googled phrases like 'fabric with village at night print'. Lots come up on pinterest but I haven't found it.

Looks like a linen type soft furnishing fabric.

Can anyone identify this fabric please?

Is it Cath Kidston Townhouses?

SomethingAboutNothing · 11/04/2023 10:52

Sorry for ugly link, I don't know how to do the short links.

Meem321 · 11/04/2023 10:58

Yes it's CK Townhouses, it's a cotton lawn fabric I think.

The previous posters have identified it so I'm only here to ask what you are thinking of doing with it?

LuluBlakey1 · 11/04/2023 11:09

Wow! You are whizzes. I spent about two hours looking last night. Now I know, of course I should have looked at Cath Kidston- it's so obviously hers.

Thanks everyone. Really appreciate it.

I don't know, I just really like it. I wondered about doing DD (5) a bed cover and some cushions in it, or a throw for the sofa in the snug. I am a fabric hoarder. Any ideas? The colours are great.

You can try using Google lense. It will take you to websites selling it or similar.

Yes - this may be a challenge!

I think this one was in a collection from at least 7-8 years ago so finding it in any significant quantities may be difficult. But good luck!

Time40 · 11/04/2023 11:31

It's amazing that it's modern - it looks so very like something from the 50s that I would have sworn it was vintage. I wonder if she ripped it off from some old fabric.

CurlewKate · 11/04/2023 11:39

Came on to identify it for you but others have already done it. You could offer to swap it for something that isn't so rubbish for showing that necklace....🤣

Just had a go but can't find anywhere selling it. It's about 7 years old . So disappointing. I was really excited. 🙂

HOARDER?
I'd rather we use the term "administrator of a carefully curated collection" to 'hoader'

I mean, collecting fabric/wool/haberdashery etc is its own hobby....wasting it but using or creating something, would leave a gap in your collection

CircleofWillis · 12/04/2023 08:35

There are lots of fabric de-stashing groups on Facebook marketplace. I would try one of those.

😁I like that wording.

That's a great idea. Will do that tonight.
