Lining a knitted hoodie neck?

I've knitted a top for my grandson (big achievement for me and it's not perfect by any means)
Tried it on today and it's itchy at the neck.
Can I line it with something?
What?
Any tips appreciated!

tshirt material.

I would line it with a fine jersey material which would stretch along with the knit.

Lovely hoodie by the way

Thanks
So if I get an adult t shirt and draw round each part of the jumper (don't want to unpick) and the hood, and cut out, then sew each bit in separately?

@Rollerbird sorry - just saw your reply. Yes you could do that or just cut a long but narrow rectangle band of jersey to go round the tickly neck bit- like a collar facing. Just whip stitch to the knitted bit
