Theme of "Connections" - any ideas?

My daughter (aged 5) has to do a art/craft project on the theme of "Connections". This can be anything from 2D pic, 3D model, photo, glasswork, drawing etc etc. We are off on hols from tomorrow and will only have next weekend to do it before it has to be back in on Monday.

However, I have no idea where to start. Does anyone have some suggestions so that I can at least make a start on something?

Thanks all.

how about she makes a family tree?
cut out photo's and join them in order with ribbons

How about paper dolls that you cut out of a concertina so they are all holding hands...she could decorate each one in a different way, using fabric, sequins etc.

Its a grown up topic for 5 year olds!!

Make some chain links with different mediums - ribbons, rope, fimo etc

Thanks for the ideas. My daughter fancies going with the family tree idea. Off to sort out some pics now.

How about a hand print of your hand and one of your dd's - print them as if holding hands.

Not too difficult for a 5 year old and you can embellish with glitter etc.

Connection between mother and daughter ?
