Fabric choices- would this work?

Sort of new to sewing, enjoying it very much. I'm making a few baby things for some friends and was thinking of making a multipurpose blanket from cotton jersey and bamboo terry. is that an odd fabric choice? I want to make something that could be useful as a blanket, changing mat cover, absorbent.

I also have waffle cotton fabric and thinking of doing another blanket and backing the waffle with the bamboo terry.

Wouldn’t the jersey have too much stretch to it?

I'm not sure, I assumed the bamboo would hold it in place? I have made face cloths with bamboo terry and jersey and that seems to work OK. some of them seem to turn up at the corners but thinking that may be my sewing...

I think the waffle amd the Terry is a much better option than a stretch fabric.

Wake and terry are as far better combination. The jersey will eventually lose its stretch and become saggy.

If you want to use jersey you have to stabilise it first by backing it with iron-on interfacing and then quilting it to the other fabric.

thank you for help and suggestions. I went with the waffle and Terry. I also thought maybe I could use muslin instead of jersey, as it's the lovely prints I'm after, for one side of the blanket.
