Sew on patches - where can I find these?

Hi,

I have asked at my local sewing shops for the sew-on patches (I want to sew one onto a bargain, but plain, dressing gown from the sales). All the shops could offer was flowery and motifs that were a bit twee for a 2.6 year old boy. I was kind of hoping for Postman Pat, Thomas the Tank Engine etc etc.

Can anyone recommmend an online source of such patches? Indeed are they still called 'patches' these days?!! I've run some searches, but not having an awful lot of luck really.....

I bought some nice ones in John Lewis a couple of years ago. They had Disney ones, I remember.

Ebay has sew or iron on ones they sell new.

Hi,

thanks for all the suggestions. Dropped into John Lewis haberdashery and found some cut little jungle animals patches - so went with that. Lots of sequins and flower patches for the girlies there!!
