Mosaic Crochet- anyone tried it?

I’ve bought a couple of Abi McIntyre’s Get Yer Hook On patterns and also like the One Skein of Love ones- they seem deceptively simple, has anybody else tried them?

I've done some of Tinna's mosaic crochet patterns. It's fun and looks good. It's a bit slower going as you're effectively doing each stitch twice, which means you use more wool and the finished blanket is quite thick. It's pretty straightforward to do once you get your head round the technique.

Yes! I love mosaic crochet, have done 7 Tinna blankets and currently doing Abi's strawberry fields blanket. Tinna's YouTube tutorials are fab.

Yes. have done a few 2 of my own designs which I,m writing up to put on ravelry. They are fairly easy to fo as you only work with one colour at a time and the end results look much more complicated than they are, but they are slow to crochet,

I tried once on just a single blanket Square. I like the effect but I seem to remember I got "bored" with how long it took!
