felting tutorials?

ok i'm genrally useless when it comes to all things fabric wise, but I want to have a go at felting. and I need to know how? does anyone have a tutorial on it?

I bought this teal blue 100% wool scarf, for 99p at a charity shop and I want to have a go at felting it, and making a flower corsage out of it.

so what do I do? please type slowly for the fabric impaired.

you need betz white the queen of felting, all her stuff is made from felted jumpers etc

basically, pop it in the machine on a hot wash, min 60 degrees, with soap, take it out and let dry, cut into it, if it's not fraying, then its ok to use, if it's still fraying, wash again
