For various complicated reasons I need to buy a home kiln for DS17, who has been potting for 10 years. He needs the smallest possible kiln so that he can fire fairly frequently, but something that will fit a dinner plate, which will probably be the biggest thing he wants to make. It looks like we will be able to buy new.
Any recommendations for:
- a brand / size of kiln
- a starting set of kiln furniture
- a good starting set of glazes
- any books or websites where he can learn how to fire!
I have absolutely no knowledge or experience - help! (and thanks)
