Would anyone be interested in cross stitch kits & charts?

I'm having a HUGE clear out of old stuff and have just found loads of old cross stitch kits and charts and there's probably some other bits and bobs too like double ended needles, books, hoops, beads and some specialist threads somewhere... I've got some tapestry stuff too.

Anyway, would any of you be interested in them if you were to cover postage costs? They are mostly magic (wizards, dragons etc), oriental style (samuari, geisha sort of thing) and oriental dragons. Kits, but also some charts and charms packs and just charts.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll start organising what I've got!

Would the cross stitch kits be OK for a 10 yo ?- DD is cross stiching away atm - but is getting a bit peed off with Winnie the Pooh

SpookyMadMummy · 02/02/2008 14:37

Yup! anything x stitchy!

got pics? can you email me sewing mad mum(at) hotmail (dot) com??

I could be interested in your oriental stuff

joyfulspike · 03/02/2008 13:54

thanks will start getting organised and getting photos etc.

KM, not sure if any would be good for a 10yo. Some of the pics are quite big or the charts are complicated (half & qurter x stitches). Once i've had a good look, I'll let you know.

Katy I might have a couple of stitchy bits suited to her? I will have a look for you

KatyMac · 03/02/2008 15:13

Thanks SpookyMadMummy everything locally is cut cuddly teddies or flowers (very old lady) - she's a bit off beat

KM I've got a chinese dragon design that might be good for a 10yo. Its on red fabric, mainly in black with 3 other colours. The chart looks pretty straightforward with no partial stitches or anything difficult. its a circular design roughly 21cm across. My camera didn't take a good pic, so it looks like [www.willowfabrics.com/acatalog/Derwentwater_Chinese.html this]]

I'll give you first refusal, so if you're interested, email me on nikmatravers at hotmail dot com

have emailed you!

KatyMac · 07/02/2008 20:31

Sorry Joyfulspike I think that might be a bit much for her - apologies for messing you around

joyfulspike · 08/02/2008 19:14

No probs and you weren't messing me around. tbh I'm glad you don't want it as I've been re-inspired to have a go myself!

How nice - hope you enjoy it

KatyMac · 08/02/2008 19:48

I found DD a frog one - which she is happy with

dizzyday07 · 08/02/2008 20:03

Are you still offering your Geisha type ones?

joyfulspike · 10/02/2008 20:19

Yes, I've got 2 geishas and a samurai. The samuari is a Dimensons Gold kit see here the 2 geishas aren't by a name I recognise, but they are in Maderia thread. I picked them up at a needlecraft fair some years ago. Also a chinese dragon by Maderia as well, (not the one above), its a bit more involved I think. My camera is bust atm, so I can't send you a photo unforuntaely. If you're interested, email me at nikmatravers @ hotmail dot com

If you want some pics, I'll borrow one from a relly!
